Baked Alaska and Chef Outta water are honored to be hosting Chef Sergio Mata for an upcoming Chef Exchange this August. Chef Sergio Mata is from San Carlos Nuevo Guaymas, Mexico. He has spent the last 18 years honing his skills in the state of Sonora, Mexico whose western border is the sea of Cortez. He is currently the Executive Chef of the Marinaterra Hotel & Spa, the region’s premier resort.

We will have three distinctly different dining events during his visit.

Wednesday, August 7th, 2019 "Pay What You Can" POP-UP lunch

This event will feature a quick service menu of Mexican street foods. Reservations are not required, no prices on the menu.

Thursday, August 8th, 2019 "Exploring Comfort Foods of Mexico"

Casual buffet style menu in the open kitchen at Nekst Event.

Sunday, August 11th, 2019 "Seafood and the Sea of Cortez"

Family style dinner in the open kitchen at Nekst event, highlighting paella and the seafood cooking styles of Sonora, Mexico.

The Annex has been rebranded, and is now officially the Nekst Dining Events space. For the holidays, we are offering the Nekst Event space for $250.00 rental fee. The rental fee will be waived if guests spend $1,500.00 or more on food and beverages.
